I agree, that's why big drops can be accompanied by low volume...the spreads widen as no buyers step in. they can wait for their prices, without volume there's no hurry.

I've been meaning to ask this. On last week's giant drop and recovery on Tuesday...does anyone have a ratio of volume that brought it down that day in relation to recovery volume...?

or just a guess? I assume the recovery volume was significant, it was a record volume day.
