Re: "Thread, we know 1) MOT let down 2) AMD will not. So if INTC doesn't report stellar numbers - which way will we go? I think we might be weighted down by MOT/INTC and fall further (though I also think we'll rebound between today and tmw). I'm just thinking options are VERY risky right now. I just added to my stock position @ $69."

Comment: The market is not always rational...as evidenced by this AM's nonsensical drop in AMD! As mentioned earlier, this AMD drop is likely to be ephemeral...Come Wednesday with the earnings release, we'll be wondering how it was possible, imho!

Hi Dave-
Too early to tell if #2 is correct or not. What earnings level do you think is built into AMD's price right now? If it's 1.10,.70 could be disastrous. While.70 would be stellar earnings, I doubt you are going to get much of a pop from current levels. AMD has had a huge, well-deserved recent runup, but the question is has it gotten a little ahead of itself?
Of course, this is just my opinion. I could be wrong (TM Dennis Miller)

Dave,

I'm just thinking options are VERY risky right now. I just added to my stock position @ $69.

I did both - added shares at $69 1/4 and bought some of those risky options. My portfolio is getting to be rather concentrated. It's beginning to look like Chick's. ;-)
