I heard on npr this am that Silicon Valley is the most affluent region of the country, as defined by median income (82k per household, as I recall). But apparently the Seattle region's economy is more skewed wrt the old economy (Weyerhauser, Boing, etc.) and the new economy (Microsoft Millionaires, Internet Billionaires, etc.). Thus, more millionaires per capita, apparently.
