LBStocks, JDSU is one stock you can just buy and hold. It is really hard to time it for a trade. The one thing that I am confident of is that this stock will be a lot higher by January 2001. That is why I have a large position (significantly overweighted) that i am not going to trade---there are better trading candidates in the short term, IMHO.

Maybe leading up to earnings, we could get a significant boost helped by short covering and momentum trading possibly--especially if the Nasdaq market in general starts to go up next week instead of this week.

E-TEK, awaiting regulatory approval to merge with leading component-maker JDS Uniphase, is expected to earn 21 cents a share in its fiscal third quarter, up from 14 cents a share a year ago. Revenue is expected to be around $80 million, a 10% increase quarter-over-quarter and a 62% increase from a year ago.
