I do not trade very often and I do not trade using systems. Until now it has worked well, and the investments I made from the money I got from selling MSFT has had a good return. This way, I have much more money to invest in MSFT stocks, if I think I can earn money by doing that.

re "Dollar cost averaging"

It will work most of the time with quality stocks, averaging down in doggie stocks can be hazardous to one's bankroll. Many people use some kind of "buy" signal like a stock crossing it's 50 day moving average. Short term, crossing a 10 day ma works very good. A stock crossing it's yearly high is a good time to buy in, atleast the investor will not miss the next leg up.
