I meet fanatics in every discipline of adult life. A few years ago I had to hire therapists to work on some of my client cases. Have you ever heard a behaviorist go off on a psychoanalyst. And what about some of these Linux guys, whooweee!

I never met any who wanted to FORCE non-worship on people. Certainly they didn't want religion of any kind insinuated into the government- but I never met anyone at Berkeley who wanted to force the religious to observe non-religious customs (which is what some of the religious would like to do to the non-religious, or people of "other" religions- for our own good of course).

Of course I worked hard to be in the top of my class- so I didn't have a lot of free time to meet people. But I met enough. I met some communists at Berkeley who were religious about communism- now THEY might have wanted to stomp out religion, which is ironic to me since THEY were religious fanatics too- about communism. So that ONE tiny group of 4 students that lived together in the dump with CHE GUEVARA posters on the walls- THEY might have wanted to interfere with religious observances, but I never met anyone else who wanted to.
