Jd,

LOL! Forget about Carl, though. It'd be nice to be able to post a couple of "to the moon" messages every 10 minutes throughout the night. Then you could drown out anyone who did what he's doing.

Dave

p.s. It went by in a message the other day very quickly but I think someone hit it on the head when they said that Carl is worried because as a memory systems designer, there's no work to do if RDRAM takes over the market. Carl will have to find a new area of expertise and while I know there's a burgeoning tech business in the Great Pacific Northwest, there can't be that many areas he could move into. That's why he's spending so much time posting his views on a board that ultimately does not affect much of anything.

John, <It is getting apparent that online journalists will find only his posts at market open to explain any opening bell stock price movements.>

Nah, those online journalists are still looking to Tom's Hardware Guide to explain RMBS stock movements.

Meanwhile, have you seen Tom's latest diatribe on Rambus?

tomshardware.com

This latest article seems to be spurred by nothing else except Mark Edelstone's comments. Apparently this analyst from Morgan Stanley Dean Witter made a few comments saying that Tom's articles were a little short on facts. So Tom has to resort to a multi-page web article revealing nothing new and just reiterating the same old anti-Rambus FUD that he's been perpetuating for so long. I guess Tom gets a little sensitive when influential people think his articles are full of it. Ego?

Tenchusatsu

EDIT - Van Smith is actually the author of this latest article, but he and Tom are in the same boat.
