I worked with Gore (and Intel, and National, and Motorola) on a major data security project in the mid 90's. He is probably the brightest politician in Washington about technical issues, but unfortunately there are not that many voters out there who understand technical details. Scumbria, Yes, I think that explains the disconnect. Like I said, its too bad.....I think he is far more impressive than it appears on first blush. My respect for him has grown over the past 5 years and I am not very political. ted
