Pravin, RE: Not only that, but all males have intensive Tae Kwon Do training during mandatory military training following high school. They are all tough Hombres, unlike Japanese and Chinese. Now, now let's not go too far with this over generalization. My brother in law went through that training and he's not to awfully tough, but he did train some pretty mean German Shepards. I worked with many ROK's and KATUSA soldiers, all pretty nice folks. It's in the bars when the Soju's doing it's thing that it starts to get ugly. Their stay in the military is so short (12-18 months) they are not given ammo. The few that do carry rounds are sewn into leather belt pouches. The USA boys (SP's) on the other hand are loaded for bear at all times. I think we should have mandatory military service for all males in this country. A large percentage of our tax dollars go for defense and we should all be introduced to how it's spent. Perhaps with some first hand experience we'd take more interest in speaking out on some of the ridiculous programs our politicians have wasted our money on to bring money to their constituency as opposed to real useful programs and hardware for the defense and deployment of our military power.
