TLC-Much of the original work with RSI was done by Wilder, who considered the divergences you are talking about his number one indicator. It is much talked about in John Murphy's books. Wilder also talks alot about "failure swings". That is when a RSI high over 70 is followed by a second lower high. The subsequent downturn past the bottom of the trough is the final confirmation. It also works with RSI's below 30, then a second higher low. Final confirmation in this case is a move above the inbetween peak. As you probably know, but others may not, changing the RSI values will produce either more or less volatility, and can be used with different chart periods. Stochastics also lend themselves well to the type of divergant analysis that you are using. Trend lines are also especially effective with RSI. The breaking of a RSI trendline often is a precurser to a price drop. Happy trading. Jeff

I don't mind telling people some of the stuff I have figured out. Like I said, most people don't pay any attention to the TA stuff. That signal that I discovered is actually in at least one TA book, but it is hidden amonst a bunch of other stuff that is nonsense. I'm not the only person that has seen this stuff.

Uh, that would be in the Elder book, I presume???
