Chic,

I don't think AMD tanked today. The price stayed right about $70 all day, which does not seem to be a coincidence.

If the price is being manipulated, it will be interesting to see if the earnings announcement will produce a strong enough reaction to break the lock.

Comment: explosive situation = $100 by Friday close, given "hard" confirmation a second successive record breaking quarter and the intimation of the possibility of a string of 5 successive record breaking quarters come Y2000 yearend!
