All the stupid batistiano jockeying for politically oriented propaganda brownie points has overshadowed another question here, that of equal rights regardless of gender. There's a tendency to see Juan Miguel as 'only the father' ... if you reverse the gender, and he had kidnapped Eli n to a leaky boat in following his criminal girlfriend du jour, and his mother was wanting Eli n released, you'd see wider and stronger support for her ... as a male, i resent that ... parent means parent, period ... viva la familia verdadera
