We live in a country fortunately where there is the spirit of the thing and the letter of the thing that are always weighed together when a conflict arises. This is very good. I was talking to a man from Pakistan over the weekend. He said that currently it is almost impossible to buy or lease property in Pakistan. I asked why. He said that there is a law on the books that if a Widow owns property the government is not allowed to tax that property. Of course the intent of the law is to protect a person who has been left with no means of support from having the Government take their property. Well, most of the property in Pakistan is put in the name of a Widow as a means of evading taxes. There is no consideration for the spirit of the law in Pakistan.

If I remember right it was determined that the contract was not binding and he stayed on the team for the rest of the season, he didn't get to play much though. The Denver Nuggets have been losing every since BTW.
