<< You ignorant self-righteous Americans think you know best all the time . . . >>

<<< There are as many viewpoints in our democracy as there are colors in the rainbow. To which of the many diverse groups
are you calling names, just the ones who disagree with your viewpoint? <g> >>>

<g> only the ignorant and self-righteous ones who try to impose their viewpoints on others.</g>

<<< OTOH, it is actually very difficult and demanding being right most of the time. >>>

<g> You're right, bit that is the cross I must bear . . .</g>

<< I have been to Cuba, and while it may not be a "perfect" society, neither is the U.S. >>

<<< If you did a total and comprehensive comparison between the U.S. and Cuba, or Canada and Cuba, you would find Cuba
to be more like a cesspool than a civilized nation. >>>

You may be right but I still say that that is no reason to deny a boy his father. Only the father should have the right to decide where the boy lives.

<< It is hypocritical to knock Cuba when the U.S. is quite happy to do business with China... >>

<<< You are right, damn it! I just called and canceled my Chinese takeout order and am going to have black beans and rice
instead! >>>

<g> I'm thrilled, but please stand downwind! </g>

<< In any case my intention is not to engage in political debate but rather to point out the folly ... >>

<<< Thanks for pointing out our folly. Do all you Canadians think you know best all the time? <g> >>>

No not at all, but I am not the one imposing the view that the boy should be held in my country against his father's wishes because of a belief that my country is superior to his.
Truth is I would much rather live in the US than Cuba given a choice, but that does not give me the right to prescribe that same decision on others . . .

Just to set the record straight it is the ignorant and self righteous I have an issue with, not with Americans in general, ( especially as I am a dual citizen of Canada and the US . . .)
