Steven, I think the Gonzalez case has generated far too much controversy and media attention. Had it not involved the Castro Communist regime, we probably wouldn't have heard a word about it. I must admit, however, that crossing 90 miles of ocean, and losing one's mother is much more tragic than wading across the Rio Grande, and it is amazing that even one survived the accident. No, the borders should not be opened wide. Regardless of the conditions being fled by the Hispanics, there is already enough problem with drug traffic flowing across the same border points, plus the fact that there is active movement of stolen American luxury cars going across from the other direction. Like I said, I do not have the answer to a problem that has been going on for decades. ~H~
