The margins are not that great at the modem end. Its the headend which terminates the cable modems where the margins are. CSCO is the leader in headend deployment with customers such as At Home, RoadRunner etc. Unless Terayon makes a significant dent n the headend market they should be valued as other cable modem manufacturers like CMTO. As an analogy its the difference between the modem manufacturers like US Robotics etc and the Remote Access Servers like Ascend. The higher vakluations always go to the concentrator folks. Anindo
