Comment: Last year it was marginal tax rate on 75% of capital gains...They keep talking about lowering the capital gains rate...The reason I like US equities is that, after conversion to $CDN at approx 1.5, on an after tax basis, I keep approximatey the equivalent of my absolute $US gains...For example if I make $20 US on my April 50 calls, I get to keep about $20 Canadian...For Canadians, US equities are really great if one is fortunate enough to be onside...
