Panic,

<Dan Niles just spoke at CNNFN, pumping semi sector in this rough market. He particularly mentioned INTC, AMD, AMAT and TI(?). He seams to be very confident in AMD. If AMD is put in the same ballpark as INTC, AMAT and TI, it means huge to me.>

I am confident about earnings and Dan Niles has nothing on me as far as AMD's earnings are concerned ;-)

The only concern I have is the short term one - AMD price action around options expiration seems to be blatantly manipulated to me. Good luck to the options players.

Chuck

panic,

Not only is it being put in the same ballpark, its being put ahead of the ALTR's and RMBS's. In fact some have the expectation that it may cause a tech rally.
