Tim, Niceguy, the key to the low murder rate in Toronto is the low gun ratio. Guns allow for impulsive rage killings at a distance. Knives are less likely and fists even less likely as they make you close with your intended victim and the chicken factor operates. I once thought we should have a law that all drivers had to carry a handgun....we would all get a lot more courteous, of course we might get a 'Billy the Chevvy' with 65 cars stencilled on his hood.
