Cap'n jack

re: <<"public opinion shouldn't decide legal matters. judges do">>. I heartily agree with that 100%

Sometimes I think we should let the law take precedence.
And the law should be shaped - more or less - by the will
of the people who are willing to participate in lawmaking.

This willingness can be demonstrated by contributing time
or money to the electoral process. Microsoft forgot to do
either and this decision is just a polite reminder.

This is how it has always worked. Only this time it hit a
stock we happen to have an interest in so we sit up and
notice.

Dinesh

captain, "mistakes?" you are kidding, right? try predetermined plan of action. these were extremely well thought out plans to use their os to crush their competition.

biased judges should be overturned if their decisions are not based upon law. this decision may be overturned. i just don't think it will.

good thing we are in a market mania and a company like aol can have a $200 billion market cap so they can fund the ongoing operations of netscape (browser). in more normal times, the netscape browser very well could have disappeared from the planet.
