Pirah,

Your concern about the total numbers remaining relatively small is valid. However, exercise that same concern and you'll never find a tornado in Siebel's revenue -- and that's with the priviledge of hindsight.

Thomson reporting 2 million guides in one quarter tells me they're going to sell at least 10 million this year. And that's just one company. It doesn't include the numbers for the two largest set-top manufacturers in the world, Scientific Atlanta and General Instrument. It also doesn't include Sony's, US West's, AOL's, DirecTV's, Echostar's, or Microsoft's numbers. And consumers don't get the right to choose their own set-top box in retail stores until July.

While I'm the first one to acknowledge that it can be difficult to properly ascertain seminal events important to Gorilla Gaming, I really don't think I'm calling this too early. My tendency is to be much later than almost everyone else in making these determinations, Siebel's ascendency to Gorillahood being a good example.

Nevertheless, it would be terrific if your words of caution cause everyone to make their own determination rather than idly going along with mine.
