Waldemar,

If he is half as smart as we all assume then he should invite you to form an advisory committee composed of some of the brilliant men posting on this thread that they can then offer technical advice in confidence through you!

Now there is a thought :)) Only one problem, why would Novell formally recognize and put any formal effort into getting SI board members together when they can get all the advice from these posters simply by monitoring the board?
It costs them nothing.

Anyway, I am sure that Eric and Senior Novell Management are sick and tired from getting daily advice from every Tom, Dick, and Mary they run into. Thats all they need is getting advice from all us.

But Paul, if you can convince them to host an advisory committee from SI board members - keep me in mind as I would love to try skiing in Utah one more time. :))

Cheers!

Toy

Waldy:

Eureka!

Amazing what ideas can come forth from such a committee:

An empowered international group of chair standing, thought provoking radicals who see visions of upside down hot tubs, steaming hot water, dancing girls, Ping pong and the NFL all swimming in "community."

The problem with much of the world is that people take themselves too seriously.

I like your style Waldy. You've distilled the essence of frustrations surrounding this company: so much potential but lacking the energy catalyst to FORCE an explosion of transformative change.

I'd like to challenge Eric or anyone inside Novell to spend some concentrated time to develop a powerful sense of energy behind their vision.

I've tried to assist in this regard on this board. I know that I can come across crazy to many, but there's a method to this madness. Spend some time with me on the phone or in person with others and you will see what I'm talking about.

I'm forcing people to radically rethink many of their underlying assumptions regarding technology development.
Forget about "me". Anyone can internalize these simple ideas and act on them.

It's the INDIVIDUAL, stupid.

Peace.

GO!!
