Mike,

I must have read those two Thompson PR releases 1/2 dozen times each. It certainly does SOUND like they sold 2MM EPGs last Q, but I think that's actually 1.5MM in 1999, and an additional 500K in the first Q for a total of 2MM. I think perhaps they reported it that way because they did not report any of the revenue from the subscriptions in 1999, and are going to report it all this year. Certainly does deserve a some further investigation, however -- Great DD on your part.

PS -- a bit off topic -- Thompson just today announced a contract with a dinky little company called American Technologies (ATCO) -- who has some extraordinary/revolutionary audio technologies/patents -- great disruptive innovation characteristics -- but so far, they're an "All hat -- no cattle" outfit -- but perhaps worth a speculative look.

Mike B. REF: GMST> I note that Nintindo and all manner of kids games (including MSFT's new game) have or will have internet access. Why won't TV sets have internet access through cable or wireless fiarly SOON. And if they do why can't hey access this web site:

gist.com

And if they access that web site, why will their owners use have to use GMST. I guess I never understood why GMST would survive the cable or wireless net access.
