Perhaps the reason is due to the apparently uncommon event of AMD reporting before Intel. If it was the other way around with AMD reporting after INTC by 1 day or 8 days, would this still be the case?

BTW, it was a bit silly of this thread to get all excited about passing the INTC thread in number of posts; especially since this thread was started several months before that of Intel, I believe.
