The Cuban Mistress House . . . . looks like a "go" for being a "Porch reservation" August 6 through 12. Seven nights in Havana. You can rest assured it's the nicest beach house in Havana. Right next door to the fabled Hotel Copacabana. PM me if you are serious about wanting me to reserve it. I will need financial commitments to do so. At this point, though, I am only discouraging the "mistress" from renting out rooms individually, as she usually does, and trying to encourage her to take this opportunity to rent out the house "lock, stock, and smoking barrel." And it will be a "smoking barrel." I'm now coordinating efforts to lock down a second "mansion" just up the street. Late-comers will have no problem. An apartment building next to the Mistress House has numerous tenants with government licenses to rent out rooms. A slightly more expensive alternative will be to stay at the Copacabana itself. Many of you may prefer that route, anyway. If and when this Porch extravaganza reaches "critical mass," I will set up a mailing list so as to more appropriately inform participants of the "ins-and-outs" of visiting Cuba. John P.S. SheBabe has assured me that she is now looking into the issue of flights (Cancun-Havana-Cancun) on Saturday, August 6, and Saturday, August 13. She tells me that more details on that will be PM'd my way this Friday when she returns from her 25th anniversary trip to Cancun with HeStud.
