still off topic Joe From Apr 1 to Apr 15, I share your views. For the remainder of the year, I often think that if there were a need for US to assert its might - such as in a war - a lot of people will need to go in order to protect my wealth. So there is some balance: and the life in a social arrangement. And without the ability to show its muscle, the dollar will trade with the zloties. Why, aren't the Polish a fine lot ? Re: people not paying sufficient taxes. Even a two year old knows how to manage his (or her) parents. This was the downside of popular democracy that a representative form was supposed to fix. But, alas, they too proved just as much the scoundrel as the rest of us. You should go out and vote! USA has one of the lowest voter turnout of all rich nations. Guess who do go out and vote.
