Perhaps those others you mention either didn't have monopoly power, or didn't abuse it.<

OK let see:
1. SUNW monopolizes in the SPARC CPU is the fact and there is no competitor in that market and charged the consumers and arm and a leg for it (at least 4-5 times the WinTel combo) and at least 2-3 times the amount of the Microsoft charges for the OS. I see the big consumer harm there, don't you???

2. AOL practically block out their IM from multiple competitors included Microsoft and prevent other software to work with it software since their IM almost has 70% of IM users. Is that anti-competitive monopoly, isn't it?? New version of AOL software prevent the user from uses other ISP and there is no way to uninstal it except to format the harddisk and reinstall windows. What is that? it sound like anti-competitive monopoly to me.

At least that is the one that I knew of. I am sure there are many out there.
