All things being relative...double checked on my memory relative to April market manipulation on the Nasdaq.

In April of '98, there was 5 day FUD sell-off first week of April, then a two week steady rise to end of earning season (last week of April), ending in new April highs. Sell off into May.

In April of '99, there was a seven day FUD sell off from April 14-20, losing 300 points (Naz in 2500 range). From April 20 to April 27 was a rocket ride to new April highs. Sell of into first week of May.

Just a broad look. Nothing scientific. Doesn't account for Fed or other events. However, maybe April, like Jan, October and August part of the pros annual and predictable calendar of events. Afterall, they use the same calendar and wear the same time pieces.
