I was there last September. I expect to visit again before summer is over. There is a pizza shop here in my neighborhood called La Roma, but it's owned by a Lebanese guy, and he thinks it's uproariously funny (and a little weird) that I would want clams on a pizza. He doesn't have clams in his kitchen, so for a while I was bringing him two cans of clams and instructing him on what to do to make my pizza. Haven't gone there lately, as he does not have the savoire faire to know what the proper herbs and spices are that should accompany this delicacy. Plus, he was whacking me for $16 bucks every time. He didn't have the humanity to allow for the fact that I was supplying the clams at $3 a clip! Since I got to be a fan of Emeril Lagasse's cooking show, I've been messing around and trying different things in the kitchen. I think it's time to take the bold step of home made clam and garlic pizza!
