Sudan: Oil Refinery Khartoum, April 11 (SUNA)- Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mining, Engineer Hassan Mohamed Ali Al-Toam, announced completion of a number of stages for operating Khartoum Oil Refinery. He said in a statement to SUNA that only two stages remained for operating the refinery, explaining that these stages would be completed in current April. Al-Toam indicated that inauguration of the refinery will take place after completing the experimental operation, producing all oil products and defining the marketing system. He said that operation of Khartoum Oil Refinery will be a turning point in Sudan's economic history, adding that the refinery will enable realization of self-suffciency in oil products, besides achieving a considerable surplus in benzine and gas for exportation.
