uf, your argumentative old fart, the speed, simplicity, and reliability improvements are the result of the discontinuous innovation. (Remember "benefits", you old sales dog?) A benefit that I did not mention is price/performance. The discontinuous innovation is the combination of commodity hardware as a platform for proprietary software that features file layout and OS design innovations that cannot be matched with NT and UNIX file layouts and OS design.
