Lee<<Speaking of which, you are welcome to take the lead on our outings...TRUST ME...>>
I noticed I got to take the lead quite a bit the last time we went fishing. I was getting the first shot at all the hot spots. I thought this was the famous Southern manners and courtesy until I noticed that the streams were crawling with water moccasins and copperheads. Getting the first shot started taking a new meaning for me.
The conversation we had at the end of my second day of snake dodging was most enlightening too.
Me--Damn Lee! These streams are crawling with snakes, all of them seem poisonous too.
Lee--I ain't seeing that many, sides they seem kind of mild so far. I was kind of wishing we had some of them Gibbon Vipers I heard about from Africa. I hears they is really mean.
Me--That's all this place needs is more snakes.
Lee--I don't know what you is carrying on about, you ain't been bit yet.
Me--Well is damned sure isn't for lack of opportunity.
Lee--Yeah I know. I got to admit that is bothering me some. This isn't one of them professional courtesy things is it? You know like they say the reason sharks don't eat lawyers.
