<<Greg considering the Nasdaq could be pushing on it's old highs within 2 weeks, if it were to turn at what point would you again be a buyer? When you say a bottom formed, IYO would it be formed after a second, third, forth leg is formed? Define bottom....>>

while i'm certainly not a big believer in TA, i do think this retracement was necessary. as for reaching new highs in the naz w/in 2 weeks... what do you want to wager? <g> i think one of the disturbing things is many of the larger tech stocks haven't corrected nearly enough for my liking. while many tech stocks on my screen are off 60-70%, the CSCO's of the market are still lofty. CSCO is still trading at 180x earnings, and there is literally NO way CSCO can maintain growth anywhere near the range necessary to support that kind of valuation.... i'd like to see them come down a little more...
as for when we see a bottom, i don't think i'll miss it by 2 weeks. i just don't see this as the bottom, yet. we're still just seeing retail nibbling and everyone else sitting on their hands. the retail buying is likely just about to wash out. and, this isn't like most corrections...the money isn't LEAVING the market, just rotating to "old economy" stocks. that means it will have to rotate back, which is far more difficult than just moving out of cash....

Ron, are you expecting the Naz to bounce back because it always has before?

I hope you are right. But when bearish mentality hits, it has little short lived rallys followed by more bearishness.

Until I see different, I plan on selling those rallys so I can buy the next dip.
