Kavika, sorry to take so long to answer - I had to leave for an appointment. Looks like I missed a lovely close.

When I first logged in to the chat room I believe it asked if I had java - it offered the download to those who didn't. I did here from another gemmer that they had to switch from Netscape to Internet Explorer to Use the chat site, so get IE before you try if you don't use it already.
