CNBC is an ongoing comedy ... don't bother with them.
However there is some truth to their statement ... some
people are selling stocks the last few weeks to pay tax
(due 4/17/00 next week)

Did they really say that? What a bunch of clowns. Most are short and getting shorter (which, of course, requires margin).
