MRVC/Terambeam

"Got this email from Diana today in reference to MRVC and Terabeam."
ragingbull.com
*Via Raging Bull*

MRV does supply 100micron detectors to Terabeam in insignificant
numbers.
We do have a confidentiality agreement in place.

Today, there was an announcement in regards to Lucent and Terabeam
forming
a venture using TeraBeam's high-speed wireless technology. It is too
premature for us to comment on this venture. For the time being, we are

supplying Terabeam our 1st generation transceivers, which are critical
to
the overall product. We have 2nd generation transceivers in place at an
additional Beta site.

"Are you suggesting the Nasdaq is in an
overall downward trend?" "Are you telling your clients to sell on any strength?"

Greg I wasn't being facetious, but was just curious.

<<now, i'm going to put that buy list together for sometime tomorrow.>>

Just looking at the Naz chart, we probably match or exceed last week's lows in the AM tomorrow. Will we bounce back then? I hope so, but am not holding my breath.

Hi Greg,

I lurk on this thread but did not heed your words of caution. Now I wish I had <G>. How are you going to determine that the turnaround is for real and not just a dead cat bounce when you see a rally?

Also, would MRVC be oin your shopping list?

Thanks,

Piyush

My humble offerings for the list.

Feel free to ignore or make comments, all.

1) AAPL. Major OS upgrade coming that will be killer among installed base. Taking back part of education market. Margins remain high, earnings look good. Quality design at premium prices, and the only consumer alternative to Msoft. Weathering the storm.
2) ASYT. A semiconductor play on 30mm wafers and automation to increase yield. Cyclicals for the company should lag the semiconductor cycle, I think.
3) VVI. Boring. Bet is that management is making the right moves.
4) SPC- A Greg pick. But I looked and I liked, and I think it's still a good one. Them that rides the storm well should sail pretty in fair weather, I think.
5) LAF. I'm really on the fence with this one. Concrete and drywall. Company looking to merge and become larger. I'd appreciate any comments on this one.

disclosure- I'm holding a little of everything but LAF. About 40% in cash, feeling comfy.
