Sure, it's unpleasant (except for the Microsoft part). But I'm really not hurtin'. My BRK, FCX, GTRC, MLHR, and PG all did pretty well today, and my REIT's showed some advances. Most of my Sun is in IRA's, and it can continue to sit there until this blows over. Heck, maybe I'll even buy some more.

The only worthwhile question to ask is: "Is SUNW
making money and are their revenues and profits
increasing at year-over-year rates that are
comparable with those rate of the past 4-6 years?"

If the answer is "no", then there's a problem, but
if it's "yes" then none of this volatility makes
any difference whatsoever.

The growth potential for SUNW in the internet age
hasn't changed in the last 2 weeks, and there's no
reason to believe that investor optimism for the
future of the workstation, server, & storage markets
has changed, either. When the dust settles on this
market, SUNW will bounce back up to 100+ p/e provided
there are no earnings disappointments.

BTW: heard a rumor on CNBC this am that analyst &
M$FT cheerleader Rick Sherlund has revised his estimates
for M$FT revenues DOWNWARD for the past quarter, citing
reduced demand for PC's. Could this be a trend that
is developing????
