I thought that this quote from Kevin Landis was instructive: Pretty excited about the wireless build out. It's going to be huge. MOT is having problems because they can't build enough phones to keep up with demand. Also, photonics, fiber optics, is going to be huge over the next few years. DMIC is highly recommended. It's a wireless company. On the photo optic side, GLW is good choice. It's not what it used to be. Don't focus so much as the recent volatility of the Nasdaq. Concentrate on how different the world is going to be and look for companies that are poised to benefit from that change.
