The 2002 date referred to the use of the new serdes cell. This is for high speed chip to chip communication. While it might be used in network switches, there are many other contexts that make sense. Geoff said that use of RDRam in network applications to occur in the second half of this year.

Another important point he made that hasn't been mentioned is that they expect for Samsung to work off the prepaid royalties this quarter and to report real revenue from Samsung in June.
