While I believe that QCOM will beat the estimate, I don't think QCOM will blow out earnings this quarter. Remember that they had the drain of the handset business for 2/3 of this quarter. I also don't think that the earnings will matter much (as long as they slightly exceed the estimate). I think the real key will be the forward guidance provided in the conference call, including the book to bill ratio on ASICS.

The next AMD type blowout earnings will be from QCOM. Remember last April's numbers? We do!

Actually, CREE posts tomorrow. I believe they will have similar earnings to the mind blowing AMD numbers.

Word has been floating around that they have been buying chip making equipment like crazy to keep up with demand.

Couple that with the outside investments and and aquisition of Nitres just recently. They appear anxious to re-invest the windfall of money they have received.

They were also upgraded today by Wit Sound View, from Buy to Strong Buy.

Hold onto your hats.
Coonzie, we are going for a ride.
