My tech companies will have strong earnings, I believe.

Looks like analysts concentrate on MSFT and MOT's problems and e-tailers who have NO earnings and no prospect of earnings in near future.

I see Amazon.com is down. I've never owned it because it doesn't have earnings, and I've heard analyst say with a straight face that it won't have earnings until 2002 or so.

By contrast, the bread and butter companies have had and will continue to have good earnings: AMAT, CSCO, EMC, SUNW, ORCL, NOK, TXN, STM and many other companies like these are strong and will be profitable in the future.
