William, Do you mean to say you take brokerage recommendations at face value and don't consider the bias or potential conflict of interest? You must be joking. Analysts are the consummate team players. If they rock the boat they don't last very long in the business. They know the rules. Protect the client. Preserve the relationship with the underwriting client and the buy-side institution. Individual investors are not part of the equation. Delegate the research function at your peril, William.
