William <haven't been good long-term investments> I believe I said they "are not". "Haven't been" is past tense -- that is behind us. I was referring to the future. Having reached absurd valuations they "are not" good long-term investments. If you bought, and then sold, you made money. Congratulations. If you bought and held -- you have happy memories. That is my position.

Hah. Your investment experience starts at the beginning of the internet boom and bull market. You have no experience whatsoever with a bear market. I'm happy for you that you are wealthy, really. But the times they are a changing and unless you have what it takes to change, you are going to lose most of your position and be left with your bank account.

Billy, I received a pm today...critizing me for kicking you when your down. This jerk should have seen this post of yours...and then he'd kick you too. >Darn right, BO. My experience is real. I have owned Internet stocks since October, 1995, and made enough money to last a lifetime. The history is archived here on SI, too...first on the Netscape vs Microsoft thread, then Yahoo thread, and finally here. One thing I've always liked about you...your soooo humble.
