Now this is what I call a "cut" in holdings.

Notice how they left a handful of shares so they could say with a straight face that they still owned the stock, if asked by some reporter on CNBC or other inconvenient event..

that's one aspect...the other is falling production costs. in the past when paper assets were thrown out, gold usually attracted interest....
