Agreed! What helps keep my sanity is that I've been here before (many at time), and have lived to watch my portfolio rise to higher valuations despite these corrections. It's damage control that becomes the key for the day. Looking at the charts long term, this correction will be looked upon as a hiccup in the larrge scale of things. My only problem is that every time I went through this I always said to myself that the next time this happens, I'm just going to pull out. But I almost never do (with the exception of AOL right after their deal with TWX), hoping that this is transient and that with "my luck", the moment I pull the trigger, will be the moment that the reversal will end and that I ended up selling at the "bottom". At this point, there is no disipline for seting up an exit strategy given the set of circumstances. Does anyone out there wish to share their rule of thumb regarding punching out of a position?

David
