It is quickly becoming clear that the largest and best-known sites - including Amazon.com - are outpacing the pack in terms of growth in customers and sales, and the smaller players have little chance to get noticed.

Most of the web shoppers I know use scamazon for their
pretty pictures and reviews then hit a search engine for
a few minutes to find the best price elsewhere.

Compare, scamazon @ $499
amazon.com
to web shop @ $329
theweb-shop.com

$170 difference for the same product, sorry I'm not
paying for scamazons overhead. I think the smaller
low-overhead drop shippers will survive while the
scamazons of the net will be in financial trouble.

FWIW, the Sony 550 is a great machine, a lot of bang
for the buck.
