yeah right, like it would have helped my case to have let them know that I'm nearly about to have my fingers broken by some thickset southern mediterranean guys sent by Schwab... instead i just played it real cool: remember, KARATE MEN BRUISE ON THE INSIDE!

luckily, since the rest of the endowment is so conventional and hidebound, even with the recent apocalypse it wasn't hard to show them how QQQ beat the pants off everything else we had over any substantial period of time...

after my proposal was rejected at the previous meeting, i had bet one of the bears $20 that QQQ would beat the S&P 500 over the next year...the guy offered to double the bet this time, and i accepted...

i had also brazenly offered to match stock picks with any of them... two accepted the latter contest, and my six picks (QCOM, GMST, JDSU, CSCO, SEBL, and CTXS) have so far blown away theirs (INTU, CMKG, and SOC for one guy, and RSLN and NFB for another)...

the funniest part was this: one of the bears who voted against the idea tonight was also the guy who a month ago had asked me to make the presentation again... with the Naz at 5000 heading north he was eager to chase it, but with the Naz at 4000 heading south he was too afraid to get in... greed and fear, baby, greed and fear...
