Are there any psychiatrist engineers out there? I believe that Bilow and the Unibomber share a similar pattern of obsessiveness.

That works out to an average of $1,066,265 each. Enough to shade the truth a little in a power calculation? I think so. The typical American employee will have no difficulty stepping a little over that fine ethics line when faced with this sort of reward.

I guess I tend to have a higher opinion of the typical American employee. However, I tend to believe that we each ascribe motivations and actions to others based on the motivations and actions that drive ourselves.

p.s. The discussion of Tom being biased because he takes advertising revenue is very recent. The discussion of Tom being biased because he appears to dislike anything associated with Intel is much older. No one knows where his biases stem from -- maybe they turned him down for a job, maybe he shocked himself on a faulty motherboard, maybe he wanted to name his own company "Intel" but they already stole the name. We'll probably never know.
