Hikari Tsushin-Related Firm Files For Bankruptcy

TOKYO (Nikkei)--A cell phone marketer affiliated with Hikari Tsushin Inc. (9435) filed for bankruptcy at the Tokyo District Court on Wednesday.

Global Wave Co. based in Tokyo has been operating about 100 "HIT SHOP" cell phone outlets.

Interest rate payments on loans apparently weighed on the company. The total debt owed by Global Wave amounts to 2.357 billion yen, according to private credit research agency Teikoku Databank Ltd.

Nursing what is left of 1999 profit is an admirable goal of mine as well, and more importantly, to use that profit to rebuild the empire after the cleaning crew gets finished ... when all the mad money has left the scene and no more wimpering is heard from within the chamber.
