Dear Eski: The SEC has to do something about those Morons.
This morning was one of the worse examples I have seen. Joe Kernan was SUPPOSED to give out the released earnings on about 10 companies, many of which are very important. Instead of giving information they bantered back and forth about "chicken fat" and "rear ends" for several minutes and merely BRUSHED OVER the releases. Not only were they NOT FUNNY but I got no information. Disgusting in my mind.
As to SUNW pullback after earnings, anything is possible, but, seems to me provided earnings and revenue and resultant CC come out as well as we are all hoping its hard to believe there would be further pullback after what has happened yesterday. JDN

Long SUNW here so save the flames, but SUNW won't see 110
Friday, despite how good earnings are.

I think you missed my point, Eski. I was saying that several factors were all acting on the price at the same time, and that it was possible, though unlikely, that they could all reinforce each other strongly either to the up or the down side. If we had great PPI news, great earnings, great CPI news and a strong NAZ bounce off the recent lows, we could have seen a 110 share price (hell, it was just 98 a couple of days ago!). A similar thing could have happened on the down side. As it is, the PPI has turned out sort of mildly negative depending on who's spinning it. So, though earnings will probably be good, neither of the extreme scenarios I mentioned will come to pass.

I was just guessing at the extreme ends of the range, neither of which was impossible.
